here comes the sun d0 da d00 d0
hi hi hi!

---this was last nights dinner! beef stroganoff ..but here there isnt any noodles in it?! i dont know why but i was missing my noodles.. but the beef was delicious

okiedokie. i keep stealing other peoples pictures to put on here. im hanging out with my friend alex tonight and he went to school for computer stuff so he's gonna try to see what's up with my internet.
last night we decided not to go too far from where we stay because it was a holiday and we kinda wanted to avoid the large crowds - so we just went up to a close by cafe and got dinner. they had live music there and i wish i had my camera to take a video of it, it was funny and it got even funnier when a group of women got up and started dancing to it haha.. there was also a homeless looking drunk guy there.. we were watching him the whole time.. he would pick up his glass of beer and almost miss his mouth haha.. after that i went to bed around 12 am i was really tired..
i woke up so late today..11:47 am!!! i felt like i could sleep more too. rachel and i both got up at the same time and we couldnt believe how late it was (but what else is new in SPB haha) i think the thing that throws us off all the time is that its light out all the time.. if it gets dark its past 12. anyway, we went running and since its a beautiful day here i got to wear my hot running gear! the sun was beating! i could only do 20 minutes and then power walked back i dont know why i felt so tired so fast. but it still felt good to run
as i was just about to walk into the hotel a guy was walking out and he said something to me (in russian of course) i told him i didnt understand and that i didnt speak russian but he persisted..he was making hand motions of spraying himself and i was like is he asked me if i have sunblock?! haha but he pulled out some perfume and he was pretty much trying to see it to me but i told him "poka" (bye) and went inside..
after i went running i walked to a few stores to get some essentials.. well i bought a purse becasue the one strap on my backpack is starting to rip so i just bought a nice black purse (soomka) about medium size for 573 rubles (about 19$) i thought it was a pretty good deal.. i also picked up some milk (malako), apple juice (sok), water (vadah), oatmeal, russian tea cake thingys that taste like mint, and the russian version of goldfish (they taste really good their like pretzel flavored or something)
after i did some shopping i did my first load of laundry here! actually it was mostly underwear and what i wore on the plane. that took me about 35 mins.. then i cleaned the tub and the toilet and the kitchen.. i just felt like cleaning- especially since we wont have time to do it during the week because we'll be too busy
right now im just waiting for my friend alex to return from peterhof to go to the store and pick up what we need to make tortellini soup.. i hope it will come out as good as it does at home! we'll see. ill let you know..
hmmm anything else? i dont think so- not right now.. but i miss you all and your always in my toughts! i hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and that you're able to soak up some rays (the weather is great here today..like home in the summer..lets hope it lasts)!
