hello everyone

my first task of this entry is to answer all of laura's questions :)

-the hair nets are on our shoes because they didnt want us to damage the floors in Paul's palace.. that was when we went on our excursion to Pavlovsk
-its actually only 2 of us that sleep in that room- i dont know if it would be comfortable with 3 people sleeping so close hahah
-haha yes they are my panties drying in the wind haha
-the one sign that says "HET" means "no" haha and hes pushing the wine away i saw it and laughed and the other one with a bunch of other russian words says "attention! here speak only russian!" i took a pic of that one cause i knew what it meant! yay i can read haha
-we're not allowed to use the oven.. they recomended we dont use it haha


2nd task-- GRANDPOP!!!
dear grandpop,
i know your upset that i'm going to be without hot water for 2 weeks but i'd like to let you know that everyone in the area in which i am living will be without hot water as well. its not just my hotel- therefore its not rutgers fault. the city shuts down the water so that they can clean the pipes.. thank you for your concern i love you :)

today i went to the Hermitage! we waited to get inside for almost 2 and a half hours- it was a long wait but it was worth it. it was so incredible in there the only thing i can really say is that its beautiful, big, and amaazing. even if you're not an art lover you would love to see this place! there is such a variety of things to see.. i took some pictures of some of my favorites that i saw, but of course its so big in there i'm probably going to go back again because i missed alot

ugh i have such bad luck with cameras here. my little canon camera.. dropped it on the wood floor in the Hermitage.. luckily it turns on and i took a pic right after it happened so i though phew! good its not broken.. i tried to take another picture and my little button that allows me to take the shot doesnt work now.. so thats great.

that has been my day!

before i forget i wanna tell you about some things ive noticed here-
-when i see couples together walking on the street i notice that the man will carry the girls purse! (how sweet!)
-also there are TONS AND TONS of flower shops here... almost every corner- and i see so many men waiting to give flowers to someone or ill see a couple and she has flowers in her hands

just some interesting things ive noticed :)

i think im going to do some more grocery shopping tonight to get what i need for the week.. its going to be busy
