happy russian independence day!
i'm using my friend emily's laptop to post this so im going to make it quick.. today we went to pavlovsk and toured emperor paul's palace.. its beautiful there i took lots of picures and videos for you all to see. Aunt maureen, i especially thought of you while we were there because of all the art work and statues i think you would love it here.. there was this one painting that really stood out to me. it was a cupid that points his arrow at you and no matter what angle you look at it from the arrow points at you..they explained that it is designed that way because "you cant escape love" i loved the meaning! i bought a small picture of it for only 50 rubles !! $1.66 or something.
after that we walked around the garden.. its huge they were actually selling maps because it's so big. it was a nice day of walking around..
currently im sitting with a few people from the group just talking trying to figure out what we're going to do tonight..

Art! Statues! Palaces! Emperor Paul! You're becoming so cultured - a woman of the world! Everything sounds so beauitful. And those people are right, you can't escape love...when it comes around haha. Hope you figured out something good to do last night and that you had a lot of fun. You already have one week down! Unbelievable.
ReplyDeleteWe had a big thunder storm last night, too. Don't know what's up with this weather, but my Aunt came over to discuss our trip and it's 105 degrees in the Bahamas next week! We're gonna melt.

Nothing exciting to report from the Donzuso household except that Bella peed on my foot tonight. I wouldn't let anyone else get away with that. Like cupid said you can't escape love.....Gotta love her!
